I went out today and to my surprise found salamanders in the rocks around my foundation.
My garters have spent all winter on a diet of earthworms and Rosy reds, so some fresh salamander was promptly inhaled.
Also found a bunch of newly hatched worms, the Dekays slurped them up like spaghetti!
The ground is still too cold for any snake activity yet.
