Broadband Copperheads

Dozer Aug 28, 2003 04:17 PM

Hey,

I have 3 baby CB Broadbands in a 10 gallon tank, with a water bowl, hide spots, fake plants, paper towel substrate and a 75 watt heat light over them on one side that has temperatures reachin' 90 F at most during the day ( I read a caresheet on the web ). Now, 2 days I have had these snakes, I have tried to feed them pinky mice. I seperated each snake inside the tank during the feeding. Non showed interest. This is their first meal and all have went through their first shed. They look fat, healthy, well balanced and alert snakes. Any ideas on what I'm doin' wrong... thanks for the input.

Dozer:
My laticinctus babies are nearly a month old and I'm now considering giving them their first meal. They were so big and porky at birth that I saw no need to feed them sooner.
However, I do keep the babies housed seperately, and keep only adults of the same size together.

Just a thought, but they could still be under "relocation stress". Give them a little time to acclimate to the goings on in the room. I wouldn't be concerned about non-eaters for another week or 2 maybe. Keep an eye on them.
