Belle shedding caught on video!!

EddieF Mar 16, 2008 04:50 PM

Belle shed this morning and we watched and taped the whole thing! Truly fascinating. It's one of the most rewarding aspects of owning snakes, just watching them do what snakes do.

I hope this link shows up, it's posted on Youtube...

It's so cool when they shed.

There was so much more movement than I imagined, the way she moves her skin and scales to squirm out of the shed. Amazing.

I agree. I never get tired of watching them. My MBK shed out last night and she is incredible. Shiiineee.lol

Hey here's something else. She actually also pooped in her shed on her way out. Kind of gross and convenient all at once.

I HATE it when the do that. Zorro will do that in an otherwise perfect shed, and I know that if he could, he would be laughing at me. It's really rare for me to get a shed where the head is intact, because he rubs on everything and tears it.

Yeah I wanted to be able to hold up the shed as part of the video, but, uh, no good.
