I doubt you will get other replies, but think about how and where the organism lives in its natural habitat. If you can provide for the animal with its natural histroy and natural environment in mind, you will not have to nor will you ever cut its nails. Do some leg work on where it lives and what it lives in.
Hint: It does not live in a Candyland ten gallon aquarium on astroturf, playsand, or bark chips.
those nails are there for a reason..
