Eublepharis on wood

janiel24 Mar 17, 2008 10:02 AM

Hi!

I just took two of these little gecko's from a friend. All i have to put them on, is wood shavings. Is that bad?

Yes, wood shavings are not a good substrate for leos. If one of your geckos gets a piece of the wood when it eats a cricket the wood could get most and swell in its stomach and cause an impaction. You can use paper towels as a substrate, that would be much better.
