O.K. First is a shot of my NG carpet laying. Self explanatory.

The second shot is a female Black Head "rolling" in her nest box. This is the female that didn't shed. She also, choose to lay her eggs out side of her nest box!
This is a first for her.
Anyway, Rolling take place in BlackHeads anywhere from 1 - 4 days before laying.
Then they go to this "winding" stage before settling down.
I watched her go from the back left corner...to the front left corner...to the front right corner....to the back right corner, over and over. This is a big cage also...6 x 3.
I don't why I didn't grab the video camera faster. I guess I was mesmerized by her doing this.
By the time I got the video up and running she had settled in the back right corner to lay her eggs.
Turn up the volume and you can hear her labored breathing.
