Brumation and Breeding question

gypsy1dragon Mar 17, 2008 08:41 PM

I tried to brumate my corns this year, but Florida would not cooperate, hot and cold, hot and cold. People finding snakes outside all winter even. I kept them as cool as I could for about 6 or 8 weeks, but finally got too worried about them and had to feed them. That was about 6 weeks ago.

Question is, is it too late to try to breed them? Okay to go ahead and try? This is my first shot at breeding them, only want to try three of the females this year. They are all 3 or 4 years old.

Thanks for any help you can give.

brumation is not required to breed. It's prime breeding time right now. Only a few of us have had very many lock ups. Some are just starting, while others are getting eggs already.

Given that corns are native to Florida - you shouldn't have a problem.
