they need to invent....

xblackheart Mar 17, 2008 09:37 PM

I was just thinking that they need to invent a pharamone or hormone spray for snakes. I am getting frustrated with my male snakes. Usually they want to breed like crazy. I have 3 males that are seriously disapointing me. If I had a pharamone that I could spray on my female snakes to make the males breed, it'd be great.

misty- what helps me is turning the heat up a lil higher than usual and spraying the enclosure with the female in it. that way the pheromones are pretty much stuck to the aspen... thats how i always get my pairs... they wont breed unless i do it... try it. just a light misting... if that doesnt work try once again...

I have noticed the misting helps. A trick I came up with is to save the female snakes' shed skin and rub it on them. Getting it wet when it dries out, then rubbing it on the females also seems to work.

Good Luck
