Scales to small

Why do some Hondos appear to be to big for their scales. Meaning the whole body looks streched like after a feed but it looks that way all the time even all the way down pass the vent even.
I have a male that has never been over fed that looks this way. Plus I have seen tons of pics online of Hondos that look the same. Can some one enlighten me please.
