Albino Super Dwarf Hatching!

CrestedGecko.com Mar 18, 2008 02:49 PM

Well, this was a long time coming, but we are finally hatching an albino super dwarf!

The parents of this clutch were produced from breeding a dwarf albino to a super dwarf. At 4 years of age, they are about 8 feet long and haven't grown much, if at all, over the past year. We got 19 eggs in the clutch, but unfortunately, only 9 of the eggs hatched. There was only 1 albino out of 9 eggs. The odds weren't kind, but I'm still so excited to see this little guy/girl. I've hatched a LOT of snakes and lizards over the years, but this is my first retic hatching ever. Its really amazing and different to experience.

I just thought I'd share this photo with everyone. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Garrick DeMeyer

Here's a pic of the entire clutch. Cute little buggers! They average about 80 grams each. Nice and tiny, just how I like my retics!

Thanks,
