Hi, I'm looking for a graduate program...

lauraLSU Aug 28, 2003 06:05 PM

I am graduating with my B.S. this May (I completed my degree in three years). I have always planned to go to vet school, and I still do, but I would like to get my M.S. first. Iown several lizard species and this spring I plan on breeding my collard lizards. I am very interseted in this type of research (breeding and reproduction). Does anyone know of a good herp program that has graduate assistantships? Any contacts or even "nudges" in a direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Check out Bowling Green State University in Ohio. THere are a few professors that have created a herpetology laboratory in the last 5 years or so. Its probably building up as this field continues to get more and more popular. Check into it...they have a website devoted to the Herp Lab. Just use a search engine and you'll find it.
