I love Kimchi with my rice and your Suri of course. I might have to trade you a Suri for some good kimchi lol.

But I notice your suris all seem very grey and slate colored, with extreme peaks in their saddles. I've started using what I've seen in your snakes as a comparison for other suris I've seen since you seem to very much specialize in surinames...and your snakes honestly look freaking gorgeous.

But, I see some snakes labelled suriname that are more yellow and gold instead of the slate grey, and often have relatively small peaks.

Is the appearance of your collection of surinames a good representation of a 'typical' suriname, or do you pick out the grey/very peaked snakes exclusively, so that you have a collection that represents one extreme of the potential BCC, suriname locality, appearance?

Does my question make sense? Lol.

Some of the pix I post are of yearling or less animals who haven't truely "colored up". They all start out relatively grey and then loose it over time. I also am a fan of symmetrical peaks so you will find that I purchase or choose to keep ones that fit that mold. I do have some that are NOTHING like that though. Here are a few examples.

Though young there isn't much grey in this guy

This girl has some different color as well

Female that is amost "Peruvian" in color and small peaks

Another yellow boy (smaller peaks as well)

Definately no grey in this girl

The point is that Suriname BCC have alot of variety within the subspecies. That is one of the things I like about them. I have a set if standards that I consider "ideal" for the subspecies and when I get the opertunity to find combinations of those traits I try to aquire them and then breed them to see what else can be produced.

That was actually one of the better questions I have heard regarding locality boas. Thanks for asking

That was a great answer!

The examples of your 'atypical' surinames were exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you so much! That actually answered my question perfectly.
