The other day I was making my rounds to the local herp shops here in town. Was in one store, when all of a sudden I see this rather large (5ft.) adult boa. It's the kind of snake you see in the veterinary literature, with the deformed snarl and bubbles forming, struggling to breath. Mouth Rot, RI, mites, dehydrated, starved, high probability of IBD.
This snake was right out in the open. Front of the store. I'm absolutely positive they wouldn't have hesitated to sell that snake to anyone dumb enough not to know better. And they'd have piled on hundreds of dollars of worthless junk to take care of the poor thing. None of which would do it any good.
That's what makes me mad. That is what I need help dealing with.
