A question

JasonW Mar 19, 2008 11:40 AM

Ok I know its not recommended and why but I was thinking this morning and wandered, If you keep your male with your female year round, Put the to sleep and wake them up like in the wild will they just breed ok on there own? Will the male stress her out with over breeding? Other than the usual and known repercussions what are the worries about keeping them together and letting them breed freely? Thanks a million
"NOTE" I am not doing this or recommending it as I said I was just thinking.

the male can over do it... and if the female is getting ready to lay eggs, the male may not leave her alone leaving HER eggbound. so personally my thoughts: not a good idea i care for my snakes and i dont want to stress them or possibly kill them.... and then theres the possibility of eatting one another. not cool... AND you dont want to breed a female who is not 100% healthy. or else she can die... just my thoughts
