Are vegetarian pellets ok?

getthatmouse Mar 19, 2008 04:08 PM

Does anyone feed the multicolored veggie pellets to their Chuckwalla? I'd like to try giving these a couple of times per week and wanted to find out if they're safe. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Probably ok as a treat but would be very careful with baby chucks as that stuff seems to turn to putty in their intestines and stop them up bad!

Hi,
Thanks for the warning.
I have an adult Chuck but just to be safe i'll offer it to him once or twice/week.

Thanks Tom! I just gave my juvenile Angel Islands some iggy pellets I won at my club auction. I think they've all ready eaten some but it's only been 1 day. I guess I can give them some water to wash them down with. That normally gives them the squirts but in this case it might help.
