Which side of tank (hot or cool) does the humidity box go on?

Here's what I do; when the snake is soon to shed, I put two humidity boxes in; one in the warm part, the other on the cool side. The snake nearly invariably goes into the warmer one. I am by no means an expert, but this is what I do, and it works.
