I had 2 snakes in shed. They were due. The room wasn't that warm. They should have been on the heat, but they weren't.
I sprayed the walls in the heat area and they both moved back to it. One has already shed. Gotta go check the other one.
The anecdotal inference in my mind is that they prefer a cooler temperature with more humidity to a warmer temperature that is too dry, at least while in shed. In other words, humidity, or lack there of, is more critical regulating factor as they seek optimum environmental conditions. At least with in the confines of normal captive husbandry. I'm assuming the humidity is higher in the area away from the heat. I'm also assuming they'd rather be over the heat, all things being equal.
Just an interesting observation.
