Has anyone ever seen eggs like this?

reptisillious Mar 20, 2008 12:09 PM

Hi I had a Female who is about 6 years old. I have bred her ver the last three years and she had about 16-24 eggs a clutch average. In the third year she had two clutches and they had what appeared like dental floss conecting the eggs. I assume that they are premature in some way. Some of the babies did hatch. Roughly half. Where usually she has a percentage that is well into the 90 percent range. Many clutches at 100% hatch rte

I have seen this with corn snake eggs, they all proved infertile in that case. Not really sure why the eggs end up being connected.

I had some actually hatch and appeared normal, as far as I know they are still fine. But the hatch rate was low. I was curious if maybe it was a premature issue, she is a older female as far as bearded dragons go, maybe that is a issue? Thanks for your response.
