garter herping in maryland?

when/where are the best type of places to find wild garters in central (laurel) maryland area? what types am i likely to come across? any additional info appreciated.

As far as I know the only garters you would find in Md. would be easterns.I'm in Va. and I usually find them in the vicinity of water but,I've also found them pretty much anywhere. Jeff
