Putting 2 leos together...need advice.

bmills May 22, 2003 11:01 PM

I am putting 2 leos in the same cage tomorrow. I currently have a 10 gallon tank with my albino female. I am getting a 20 gallon tank tomorrow and adding another female to it. I am just searching for any advice as far as putting to female leos together. Any and all responses are wanted. Should each leo have a dry hide? Should they each have a humid hide? How many water dishes? Just basic questions like the ones I've listed and any other questions regarding their behavior. Any advice at all is good advice. I would appreciate as much input as possible. Thanks for helping.

i am not very experienced (only 1 year of breeding and3 years of keeping at least 12 leos so i know alot just not as much as others.)

by getting a whole new set up for your girls is good so that neither of them will be teritorial. there should be at least 2 dry hides and i think you should be able to get away with one large wet hide (just watch their behaviors and atittudes) or just go with 2 normal ones. one food and one water dish should work just fine, as long as they are both eating, if not you might want to separate them. i hope this helps and if it doesn't i'll try again or get someone with many more years of experience than i.
