Introduced Haggis to LT this afternoon.....

DC Aug 28, 2003 07:36 PM

....I don't believe LT has had a companion for a very long while. Haggis has had intensified orange blushing for the last few days, and since I could feel no eggs, I figured it was worth a shot. The males of her age group are without clue, as they have demonstrated repeatedly LOL. At any rate, LT spazzed his a$$ off when she first appeared on his basking rocks, it was like "There's something MOVING in here" LOL. About a minute later, he noticed the brilliant orange bars... And went into instant display mode, dropped the gular, arched the back and commenced some very low key (fast vibrating) head bobbing. He just shed, and is he ever BLUE right now! To make a long story short, after one practice run, he has proven he's not a "Squashy" LOL. Elapsed time to sucessful mating: 13 minutes; Duration: ~20 seconds. Neither was brumated. Note that both lizards were kept on high-fertility 100% natural play sand LOL.
