Eastern milk there Jeff. Do you happen to have a specific county or just a 'region?'Great stuff, always like to see easterns posted! Just got four fertile eggs from the pairing of the two below. I'm hoping for something very nice...

Michael couldnt give me the county, but said that he could see the stadium....I suppose I could look it up on a map but lets face it, more people are going to know where the Meadowlands are from the stadium than by any county name, lol. Cant believe these are 05s, my 06s are bigger, then again they are supposed to be arent they! Where are yours from again?

Spoiled w/ your 'monsters' man...

They're Montgomery County, MD animals... the two below are the same locale just to show the variance. The darker more 'classic' female is gravid as well... we'll see how they do as well.

Chris that second photo is one of the nicest looking Easterns I've seen posted. Good luck w/ the eggs.

I'm just very lucky to have them... raising up a pair of hatchlings as well. I periodically switch my 'favorite' with them. That syspila is freakin' amazing by the way!

Nice looking t. triangulum there Jeff. One of your better photos too.
If I were you I'd add the county to your locality of these animals, it's easy and quick to look up, why not? The more information on an animal the better, I say.
Some people may not care if there is locality information w/ an animal, and thats fine for them. But some people (myself) really want the information.

Ric Blair (the alterna guy), told me he paid big money for an alterna from a specific locality, only to find out later that the information was false. He said he gave the snake away on the spot, to someone that didn't care if it didn't have locality information.
The locality matters. If you could GPS them, even better.

And to prove I'm not an elitist snob. Here is a syspila without any localtiy information. But she'd be worth more w/ locality tied to her. At least to me. -Dell

Dell, calling them meadowlands milks is locality enough I would say. Everyone knows where that is, more than the county. And if I get anerys from em people are more likely to be into the morph rather than the locality(not all). Thanks for the compliments on the pics, too many times it is taking me one hand to take the pic and 2 more to wrangle the snake...which is coincidentally one more than I have....Most times I get to take pics en situ in their cages like this one...

I suppose your right about the county stuff, Jeff.

Now where is that stadium? And why did you people build a stadium on Meadow land? Doesn't that make it harder to find Milk snakes in the Meadow? -Dell

Dell, are you one of THEM or are you one of US? I think they built the stadium on a dump site.....and the locality of these milks would be section 41, row 12, seat 3......friggin locality nut you are, lol.

terryd Mar 21, 2008 04:54 PM

Section 41 has nice milks, but I always liked section 53, row 15, seat 8. Who needs GPS. -Dell

That's for sure,.....those new seats they installed flip back quite easily, and there's lots of litter(gargage) they can hide under. I found my most prized milk inside a half-empty popcorn box under a seat in section C, row 37, seat # 24!..hahaha!

Here's a link for each State and its counties for those of you obsessed with locality:

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/printmaps.html

I think those easterns came from south Passaic county and the original old founding stock was collected near Passaic if I'm recalling it correctly.
Good luck with them Jeff, nice looking easterns!

Jeff, thanks for that county locality map site, that's quite handy!

Imagine a nice early fall day going to the football game and finding a milk in the trash by your feet(best of both worlds).....I know, more like a dream.
One of the best finds I ever made was when I was out deer hunting. December in Mass, in the 40s, walking an old dirt road when I see a YOY eastern milk. No place to put him, I just put him in my pants pocket. He could have gotten out any time, figured where ever he landed was likely going to be better than where he was....8 hours later, getting back to the car I had forgotten all about the milk til I put my hand in my pocket...he was still there, warm and happy!
