ATB 'eye shine'

Mike H. Mar 21, 2008 11:49 AM

I just took this pic last night, it really illustrates the eye shine that makes the hortulanus complex unique. (not to be confused with flash-photography 'red-eye'

Here's an older pic, showing eye shine from about 10 feet away. When guys like Henderson are searching for them in the field, the spot lamps worn on the head will pick up eye shine from great distances...I'm too lazy right now to look it up for the specifics though.

Cool pictures Mike...have you ever tried to shine them in the day? I wonder if they still glow...
