I was planning on useing some down time durring Spring Break to build some racks and shelves for the kids rooms. I bought the wood for all of the projects I planned on doing.
Well..... I guess I drank a bit too much on St. Pat's day because I woke up in the front yard, garage open, tools scattered about, buddies still sleeping in the garage with a rack totaly built in the driveway - casters and all!
It seems I went to bragging about how long a particular project was going to take and although the details are still a bit fuzzy I set out to beat some type of rack building record. Keep in mind I had SHEETS of plywood, 4'x8' and some 1"x2" boards in the garage - uncut.
What I built was a rack for some med size tubs, two per shelf. It realy isn't that bad considering I don't remember building it. As for the time, well we lost track of time. I would venture to guess a few hours went by judgeing by what had dew on it and what didn't. The fact that I built it out of ply wood bothers me as I had bought door blanks for the racks and the ply was for shelves for the kids toys and books.....
I will try to post pics when I can bring my self to do it.
Should I try to cover the ply with something? I hear you arn't suposed to use pine for racks..
Thanks.... and I quit drinking (tomorow).
