1st time breeding

After reading a bunch online, I figured I'd ask here. When you put a male in the female's cage, do you take out the cage items? (Hides, decorations, etc.) It is my first attempt and I'm not really sure how much room they'll need.

Thanks in advance!

I take everything out,but that is only because sometimes the male chases the female around ,sometimes vigorously. I figure its just easier to not have anything in the way. That is just my opinion though.

Yes, that's what I do too, there's no need to clutter the cage to impede the snake's alignment, and the bowl might also get spilled over in the process anyway. Sometimes as you mentioned, things can get a little rough in there..LOL!.I figure the more room the better for the male to get properly lined up with the female.

Thanks for the quick responses. I just didn't want to remove everything and have an even more stressed out first time female.

Thanks again!
