hey.. all. the lady at the pet store has to stop selling animals and the last animal she has is a black 3 and a half foot long mexican king snake. he is very nice. but i was wondering.. is 40 dollars for the snake a 10 or 15 galon tank a good deal?

Unless prices are vastly different in your area than mine (which is unlikely in this day and age), it's a great deal. I'd be happy to get just the snake for $40, let alone the tank as well.
Be sure and make sure it's healthy, though. It's not much of a deal if you take it home and it dies on you, or worse yet brings some nasty parasite or virus into your collection.
Indeed, that is a great deal for the snake alone providing he is in good shape and mite free. But If I were you I'd want to get him a bigger tank...I'd say a 20g long at least, or a 30g would be optimal.
