egg question need help...

my gecko laid 2 eggs the other day, i put them in a microwave cup container and some moss in it. yesterday i notice the eggs is still soft and grew something on top of the eggs. greenish thing on top. will this egg still hatch? pls help.. thanks

Is this your first time with eggs? I think the green stuff is mold maybe? if it is fuzzy, kind of like hair, then it is mold. If the egg is soft, then, it is most likely infertile, and probably will not hatch. I think you have the egg in too much moisture. I suggest putting the egg in moist vermiculite and in a sealed container with few holes on the lid and side. Do you have an incubator? That would be the best thing to keep the container in. If you do this, the egg just might hatch.
