i tried feeding my balls today and the bastards are still off feed so when i put a live rat in there tubs i always watch but just picked up this small rat today and must say he was a little bit of a bitter seen him try to nimble on my snake so i stunned him and than put him back by the way never stunned a rat before and this poor bastard woke up after a few minutes and he was a mess! squealing and just looked so pathetic im an animal lover so thats the soft side of me talking but still my snakes wouldnt eat him so after 15-20 min he was still living i made sure he wouldnt wake up again. and after all that no one ate him all this on god friday! god please forgive me!

Not to make light of your sitution but it IS only snake food. I'm sure God's forgiven you. He's forgiven many others for much worse than trying to feed a pet.

thank you father! i feel better now. no seriously i know its snake food but when i smashed him on the wall i didnt expect him to get up a few minutes later and be alive and to be squealing!!

Understood, but these things happen. you just have to learn how hard and exactly where to hit. Try it with a 350 gram rat sometime

Stunning and whacking are just about the most inhumane things you can do to any animal.

Yes, it may only be a rat or mouse, but why do people think that it's ok? Because it's food for another animal? A snake putting it down is much faster and safer than whacking will ever be.

Like you've experienced, why would anyone "stun" an animal when there is a risk the animal wakes up in severe pain and pissed off?

Just totally inhumane if you ask me.
