I paired up my 2004 bimacs last night, and they locked up pretty quickly. They were still at it this morning!

Congrats! Sounds similar to one pair of my Chinese Diones this season who were hooked up for 18 hours!
Wow, that's a long time! I put these bimacs together between 11:30 pm - 12:00 am, and they were still locked up at about 9:00 am. I put the tub back in the rack and haven't bothered them since, so I don't know if they broke up after that or kept it up.
Those Chinese dione are are pretty similar to bimaculata in appearance, from what I've seen, at least more so than other localities of dione. Do you have any photos of them? I will be trying to breed dione from South Korean stock next year.

My only photo is of one of my males as a juvie:
Very nice dione! Yes, very similar to bimaculata, but some differences in dorsal markings and head shape, mainly. Thanks for posting that photo.
