Stressed Veiled

Solomon May 22, 2003 11:16 PM

I recently mated my male and female, about 2 weeks ago. Since then the female has stayed dark, stressed i know, but I was wondering if this is common after they mate? She's eating and deficating fine, the temps and humdity are good and she's in a relatively low traffic area. I only go in her cage to feed and clean every other day and spritz the cage with water once or twice a day. Is there anything that I'm missing or can do?

Thanks

Can she still see the male?

Nope. I've got a piece of white acrylic blocking the two of them as well as any other animals in the room. I've heard that if they are carrying eggs that they stay a dark colour. Is this true? She's almost a red colour, the only time she's been passive green is when I fed her some silkworms.
