Where to herp?

I will be in the Tallahassee, FL area for a few days next week. Then I will be heading to Craven County North Carolina for a few more. I would like to do a little herping. Can anyone recommend any areas or if anyone is free I am open for company.

I would use the Cape Fear river as my base to herp for eastern kings and corns. Don't know about Tallahassee.
