Freshly shed! (DUW)

j3nnay Mar 23, 2008 06:44 PM

Had today off for the first time since highschool, so I cleaned cages and took some pictures of the snakes that have shed recently.

First up, Klagoth the Destroyer. Male yellowbelly, about 5 months old, weighs 412 grams. I think he is absolutely gorgeous!

Belly shot:

Then, Dot, female normal, little over a year old, weighs 932 grams. She has actually gained almost 300 grams since she started eating again at the end of her fast in January. The first snake I ever hatched!

Now Butters, my aberrant male normal. Not sure age, when I got him they told me he was 6 years old. He weighs 1484 grams.

And now my behemoth, Cindy. She is a normal ball python, 16 years old, almost back up to her pre-lay weight. She is 3117 grams right now and almost 5 feet long. Dot is her daughter.

Comparison shot of her head to my hand - her head's a little blurry, but you get the idea.

I took all of these pictures on the same stump, so there's a comparison for you as well. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I love the yellowbelly, so far though Butters doesn't seem to be passing any of his cool colors down to his offspring. I'll try again with one of his daughters in a few years, though.
