I personally don't have any igs named Iggy or Ig, only have 2, both rescues, Nemo and Marnie. When talking to people who don't know my pets very well, I refer to them as 'Da Igs' or when speaking specifically, 'Big Ig' and 'Lil Ig'. I have found that the name 'Ike' is a rather popular ig name, however. In fact, my very first ig encounter, and my first ig love, was a big tame male named Ike.
Hope this helps!

Two of our adoptees/rescues we have started out as Iggy's. The first one is still called Iggy and the number two Iggy was changed to Twiggy. That way if studies are right and they do recognize their names it shouldn't be too confused so it will still sound the same!! We had to change it a bit though so we wouldn't just have to call it number two or something and have our files constantly mixed up!!

When I got Zephyr his name was Iggi, and his old "mom"/my friend still refers to him "hows Iggi doing.." but we all call him Zephyr or Ziggy

Hi. Well our iguana was a adoption. When we got him he was named Spike. I wanted something more original. Well since it was really supposed to be my sons iguana, he named him Ozzy. LOL I know real original. I usually call him "Ozzman". For awhile there we werent sure if Ozzy was male or Female, my son said well if he is a girl we will have to change his name to Sharon. LOL But were pretty sure its a male, so Ozzy it is.

We named our iguana "Iggy", at first. After we found out he was a she, we changed the spelling to Iggi, so as not to confuse her.

I use to have an Iggy. But Since that's SSSOOOOO Common, We changed it. He's Now "Smirnoff Ig". LOL And then we have the rescue who had no name we knew of. So Now we have "Obnoxious Ignatius" (He's a brat). Hope this helps.
