Ive got one and planing to get one more and I need care on breeding and how to tell there sexes
From what I have read, sexes are difficult to tell in the HL juvenile stage. The older, the easier sexing these creatures are.
I believe breeding mainly depends on temperature and homely surroundings. HL are somewhat picky when it comes to this.
Males: Have two bulges at the base of their tail on both sides. They are more or less "subtle" bulges. They also have glands trailing up their back legs.
Females: Only have the glands trailing up their back legs. NO BULGES!
Like I said, it can be real hard to tell if you aren't quite sure what you are looking for. The glands however are very difficult to spot. Good luck!

I can tell the sexes in newborns as well as adults in all species with the exception of the Texas Horned Lizard. Males including newborns have enlarged scales just below the vent. In the Texas Horned Lizard they are only slightly enlarged.Jeff
it has bludges but it has like shield scales right before his butt and if I put two males will they fight
