My foray into BP

Rob Lewis Mar 24, 2008 12:37 PM

I've been mostly lurking here for about a year (sticking my head up every now and again) since I made my foray into BPs. I've been keeping herps for years but about a year ago I picked up this albino male and a het-albino female (will be in the next post as I don't know how to post multiple pics) and I am finally getting around to posting pics. Of all the morphs I really like the albinos best and I am hoping to pick up another albino/het pair this year and do some breeding next year. Don't worry, I have no dilusions about getting rich breeding BP; I just like to produce a clutch or two of whatever per year and I have really been enjoying these animals for the past year. Thanks for looking.

This the het-albino female. Both are right around 600 - 700 grams so hopefully they will be ready for next season.

Thanks again for looking.

Hey nice BP you have. Why pick up another albino/het pair this year? Why not just getting a het female or two your male will be able to breed then.

Good for you . It is fun to just enjoy your animals . If you breed them that can be fun also . My proudest moment breeding Balls was my first Albino . Good luck with your future project .

Thanks! The reason for picking up the albino/het pair is so that, with luck, I can produce an unrelated pair of albinos for an albino/albino pairing down the road. Plus, I just really like looking at the albino so why not have another and a mate to go with him.
