What to breed with

pitts_heather Mar 24, 2008 02:46 PM

OK I know I'm little behind the 8 ball on this but I just got into corn and I have 3 Amel females 1 Snow female 1 opal female a sunglow female and a hypo okeetee female that are able to breed this year. Now for as for males able ot breed I have A abbott okeetee, a butter motley, a pewter, a sunglow,a carmel,a lavendar. I will definetly breed the okeetee's together and the sunglows together as for the rest I'm not sure. I thought about breeding the Carmel to one of the Amel's. The lavender to the opal. Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated. Thanks

OK definately the sunglows together, okees together. lavendar to the opal... you'd get mostly lavs. breed 1 female to the butter mot... that way you'll have amels het caramel, motley. personally i'd breed the snow to the pewter. and you'd get possible snows, anerys het bloodred. but its up to you and remember if you breed the sunglows together. all the offspring will not be sunglow....they will all be amels though. just something to keep in mind

I would breed the sunglow and okeetee together as you mentioned.

Lav to opal and snow
butter to the 3 amels if he is big enough

id rest the caramel unless the butter isnt big enough

I forgot about the pewter and if i was going to breed him it would be to the snow.

But i still think the lav might be better for the snow. Hets for anery-lav and opals

breeding sunglow 2 sunglow will give you all sunglows

>>breeding sunglow 2 sunglow will give you all sunglows

Not necessarily..
A sunglow is a selectively bred AMEL with brighter colors and lacking white.
Now, just because you breed two sunglows together it doesn't mean you will get all sunglows. It means you will get amels.
And some of these amels may or may not exhibit the characteristics which would make them fall under "sunglow"

Although all sunglows are amels not all amels are sunglows
