The only tip I can give is that a Timor monitor most likely won't tame.
If that's important to you, choose a different monitor species.
ive seen tame timors, but theyre few and far between, tend to scare easily. and those pics look a lot like ackies

Basic Monitor husbandry is good place to start, however.
The enclosure setup should offer plenty of cover in the way of cork tubes, silk foliage, logs, branches and hides.
Offering Timors some hieght in their enclosure will make them less skidish, if you could place their enclosure higher in the room so they have the oppertunity to look down at you this really helps with this species.
I have kept "Timors"(Aufenbergi) in the type of setup described above as well as EXACTLY like the "standard" Ackies setup.
In the "standard" Ackie setup I never saw them!!
They are a fun species when setup properly!
