Weapon of choice Boaphile or Vision? Or?

Atlas511 Mar 25, 2008 12:54 PM

I have always used vision cages but the boaphiles seem to be a bit more attractive in my new condo. I was hoping to get some pros and cons from anyone who uses them. Also how do AP cages compare? what is the best over all?

I do not have a Boaphile, but I do have vision and AP.

Pros to vision, easy to clean, and good size, light weight.

Cons, price, and hard to heat and expensive. At least for me, I have mine in the basement.

AP

Pros, easy to clean, holds humidity well, great customer service, can get a lot of options for the price, does not bow.

Cons, heavier, don't offer as much room, plus I have the doors that do not slide and they are rusting on the hinges.

Thats all I can think of form now.

I dont have Boaphiles or Vision cages, i only have AP cages, i'd like to get some of the group combo cages from Boaphiles to see how they are, i've herd great things about them

I have AP cages, 6 72x30x30
Lots of room, hold humidty great, look nice, i have the sliding glass doors and they look awesome, i like how they lock, the snake has no way of unlocking them unlike some other forms of locks places have on sliding doors, great people to work with, and many options for reasonable prices, i'm very happy with them

cons
the only con i see is the screws for the slides rust, not stainless steel and when stacked the lower cages can be a little hard to slide open, but all in all great cages for the price

I'll stick with visions only because I have a local supplier. If I wanted to try anything else it would be costly. I do however love visions. They last forever and are very durable.

Is there any issues with leakes or urates/ feces cleaning problems with the bottom of cage.. I have used vivions and I dont think the competetors have the rounded/no corner bottoms.

ZERO issues. The rounded bottom is one of the best features with the visions! I could leave water up to the lip in the cage 24/7 if I wanted. That's 1 thing that really stands out with visions!
