It's inherited as a simple recessive.

Brad,
you know why I am asking...
I saw several pics of hypo patternless bulls. wowwwwww. one was in the ks b/p/g photo gallery and one was (a hatchling) at envy reptiles' web page.
very neat morph.

But were those Stillwater hypos? I've not seen pics of patternless stillwater hypos (though I'm sure some must have been produced by now?)

good question. I am not up to date on my bull morphs. I thought all hypos originated with stillwater, but there was a camp that kept the locality pure and those that outbred them to generics or other locales/morphs.

No-actually from what I've seen the Stillwater hypos are slightly in the minority. The other hypo gene in bulls is more of an overall faded appearance, similar to the hypo appearance in other colubrids ike getulus. It also is not allelic with the Stillwater gene, so if you breed the two together, you get normal-appearing double hets.

We are close to producing a hypo patternless using the stillwater gene.It hasn't been done yet.The ones you see out there are from Gary Balams line (generic hypo).

Jason (envy) and I should have some this year or next on the stillwaters as well as Jonel.

Shannon

here are a paternless hypo that is also 100% double het for axanthic and whiteside. and a whitesided patternless ghost from 2 years ago that Jason and myself produced.

Yup, that's one of the pictures I saw.
That is a fine morph. As if you didn't know already,(hahahaha) pits really rock.
Thanks for the genetics update!

btw, would you have a link to jonel's web page?
Thanks,

For Jonel the link is:

And here is a hypo patternless female I got from Soderberg a short while ago. She's a ball of fire, always ready to coil up and hiss!
