yes, they cost more

paulbuckley Mar 26, 2008 09:03 PM

i know they cost more. what i'm trying to gauge is: was it worth it?

A yellow belly is a yellow belly is a yellow belly.

Some people thought a phantom was just an ugly mojave! however, probably there is some real difference in Ivory lineages. We are seeing a real variance in superstripes and it seems to be a reflection on the yellowbelly lineage not the het superstripe. I dont know if that means one yellowbelly is worth more than another but it is a valid question and the answer will become more apparent down the road. And of course, yes i do own 5 female goblins. they are different than most yellowbellies. how significant is yet to be determined.

This is my breeder male. I think he rocks and worth the extra the way he looks and breeds.

how much extra did he cost you.

I understand why you think he is worth more and its more of Justifying type of thing.

yb is a yb

They really are not that much more. I paid the goblin price and nothing extra for a "holdback" animal or anything like that. I couldn't be happier but it all depends on what you want.

as in all morphs...each individual animal has variability. I have seen in my ownline some so colorful you would thank you where in San Fransisco...all created by the ugliest male i have ever seen.

conclusion...no difference other than the name and the price maybe...shop around and find a nice looking one and if you like it buy it!!!!!

GREAT looking YB Diana!!! Blaze is ablaze with color! If you care what the animals in your collection look like, it's worth it to shop around. It seems that some folks just see YBs as a tool to produce Ivories and combos, but as Blaze proves, YBs can be an AWESOME morph in their own right! Congrats!!!
