As far a Lawson's Dragons (AKA improperly Rankins) there are a few breeders that post in the classifieds here if you keep checking back. Otherwise maybe you could just Google them.

I know exactly how you feel. I've received dead bugs before and I would be crushed to receive a dead dragon. I've only ever had a dragon shipped to me once and thank god there was no problems.

Lawsons or Rankin dragons are bearded dragons. There are 5 or 6 kinds of bearded dragons.. The most commonly seen are Inland bearded dragons.

BDLvr's suggestion about finding breeders online is a good one. Note that many breeders who sell online also go to reptile shows and will often have the upcoming shows they will be at posted on their websites. Sending them an email asking if they will be at a local reptile show, is also an option. They may know of other breeders of these reptiles who do go to reptile shows to let you know about.

If you have no choice but to go through the shipping process, I suggest you ask how they package their dragons, what sort of guarantee they have for live arrival etc. If they list in detail how they package, it will be a great way to ensure the animal they send you will arrive safe and sound. Many won't ship at all during times of extreme weather (hot or cold) and most won't ship later than Wednesday during the week, just in case a delay happens and it takes another day (thus if shipped on Thursday, if one day delay, it will be Saturday and most shipping companies don't do Saturday deliveries at all, hence it will be Monday..most breeders want to avoid an over weekend delay, higher risk of mortality).

Find out if tragedy happens, if they cover shipping costs in the replacement or just animal replacement. Who they use to ship by is good to know as well, some do try and ship without confirming reptiles are normally allowed by the shipping company.
