Hey,
I finally got a baby west african gabby! He is C.B. and about 6 months old. he is a very good eater and from what i can tell very healthy. This snake is awesome and i spent at least an hour watching him explore his new home. For some reason i cant keep my eyes off him lol. For right now i have him in a cage that i built that is the equivalant to the space of a 20 gallon aquarium. I Plan on building him a home at least 4ft deep, 3ft tall and 10ft wide. A bit large but i might end up getting a female in the near future. I was wondering if anyone knew a really good care sheet for gabbies. I have read a few on top of reading everything that i could find out about him before i bought him. But i know there is always something new to learn. Well i figured i would share this and i will try to get some pics up ASAP. see yall later

Anthony

Gaboons can be alittle tricky to keep hydrated..... Make sure he is drinking..... That is the main thing to watch out for with these snakes....... You will need to hook him to his water dish offten..... I also inject the mice and rats with water and a small amount of gatoraid for the electolites..... Plus a 2 hour soak in warm water once a week and a good misting every couple of days keeps the hydrated......
