Keith,

I bought a nice striped female california kingsnake from Rick Trenni at the Daytona show. I also bought a reversed striped female, a lavender albino male, and a 50-50 male california kingsnake from him. He produces great california kingsnakes.
www.renegadereptiles.com I would buy from him again.
Hope this helps.

But more like designer kings. Either way I like that pic and the one below of Crimsonkings is unbelieveable! Especially the black and white. I have a few different kind of stripes but nothing like that. Also my Mendota x Carlsbad (brown w/yellow stripe) clutch will hatch in about 10 days.

Renegade has a line of cal kings that have nice white like that. I can see producing stripes like those with a few generations of work (combining stripes into it). But the snake picture above will probably turn dark brown as there really aren't too many cal kings with real black on them. Most as adults turn to a really dark brown. Just take them into the sunlight and the brown shows through what "appears to be black". Got a little off-track there. Back to the triple stripes..... Here is a striper from my Newport stock, not quite the same as you posted though.

a wild-caught female

Has the potential of producing three stripes if bred to the Newport strain male

Obviously heavy on the brown and yellow though

Kieth-I know where you can get some and better ..email me. **This is for Keith ONLY!!!**

Also there is no such thing as a "Mohave striped desert king". The stripped cal kings come from a small sqr 1/2 mile area near Borrego. Most of the time they are reffered to as Scissors crossing locales because of an T inetrsection of road where most are found near the Borrego National park area. You can see it on the map.
All the other stripers and abbrerants are coastal (yellows) and are plentiful in the S. calif areas(not desert areas). They are found board flipping in feb.near the coast.
The pic you have is of a mix of different locales . Since animal is reffered to a Mohave may be because have gotten some of its white coloration from the mohave area. The stripe that was introduced is either from the Scissor crossing area of from a common yellow cali that was bred back to high desert locales.
The thing that confuses nme about the name "mohave" is the Mohave cali kings are not that white. Actually I found and seen hundreds in the 70's,80's and 90's and not seen to many nice white ones. If you go towards the east you will find high band deserts (which by the way you don't see in the hobbie and are the coolest)and most of the white ones bred into the common designers came from the Joshua tree area. Not really the whitest natural found calis but thoses were the ones that started the lineages of the designer deserts.
