I have accepted a traveling temp job and my first assignment is 13 weeks in balmy Wisconsin. I will not be too far from Chicago though. Is there any kindred spirits there? Any good herp spots or herp related places to see? Anything? I start Monday and finish on June 27. After that I don't know where in the United States I will go next. But I am excited.

There is quite a bit in Chicago I use to live there. There's a few shows a month in Wheaton, And one in Grayslake every month I havent been there in a few years but you could meet with some of the local herps. There also there the chicago reptile house which is a great reptile store. If you were staying till October you NARBC show and meet alot of great people there herps from all of the country go there. Hope this helps.

I don't know about any good reptile places to go, but there are definitely kindred spirits. I live in Madison and have several friends who are avid herp keepers. You said near chicago, but how close to Madison will you be? I know there are some little local shows.

there are a couple smaller shows in Wi and those mentioned in norther IL.

chicago reptile house is there and Hoffers isnt bad for a retail outlet in Milwaukee.
