Cedar chips are in the trash

Cannot ignore scientific data.

Outweighs the advice of the pet store any day.

Even though they are ultimately snake food, the process is rewarding, and I like my mice to be healthy when my snakes eat them.

Thanks for all the input

I can't speak for YOUR pet store, but in general they are notorious for bad advice, especially concerning snakes. You should probably try to verify almost anything they tell you.

Partially my fault, I never told them I feed the mice to snakes.

I simply asked how to control the mice stink....

Don't be too hard on yourself there(bewildered Daniel Boone)..LOL!(just kiddin'),......as we both know, and as Larry mentioned already, employees at these stores usually don't have the best advice anyway. I seriously doubt he/she even knew about the potential problem with cedar chips anyway.

If you recall, the literature that Larry posted, also noted that it really isn't a good idea for MOST(maybe ALL) small animals either, regardless of being feeders or not for snakes.

BTW, I just LOVE the "Huh, what!" look on your face in the pic..haha!
