Quick question...

hefte Mar 28, 2008 01:04 PM

I have an 8 year old, 8.5 foot JCP that recently went off feed. Thats not necessarily unusual for her this time of year but the difference is, she is tearing up her cage, and hanging her head down like she's hungry. I've tried mice, rats, and chicks and nothing. She's never refused a chick. Could this have to do with her being in heat or something like that? It's been about two months now. Thanks in advance for your help...

Don't feed her...LOL...seriously, if she's got good body weight, she can go more than a couple months without a meal and should start up on her own...if you keep offering, it becomes more a source of irritation than a food source...FYI, my male woma stops eating around Aug/Sep, and won't start up again until all his girls are gravid...this year, he just had his first post breeding meal less than 3 weeks ago...he's healthy as a bull!
