Here's one for you rat finks!

Here's a gray rat snake found while crossing through Alabama on the 18th. This old boy was therming under a metal sign in the shrubs at the barbecue joint we stopped at somewhere near Greenville, I believe. Calm, even tempered for a w.c. I let him slip back under the sign after a few shots.

Good "herping" instincts Todd!,....what made you start "flippin'" for snakes at a Bar-B-Q joint you were eating at?....LOL!.....that's too funny!

BTW, nice find!

Thanks Toby! Doug, are you serious? A herper checks out ALL eating places before dining, lol! How else would you know if they have rodent control? Seriously, I herp anytime, anywhere that is legal to do so, I asked the proprietor if I could poke around in back and got the uplifted eyebrow(one of the common responses) and she said knock yourself out. I did not show her what I found to increase the snakes chances of survival and to ensure future residents a fine dining experience!

Hey, that was VERY smart on your part NOT to say anything about what was residing under the sign at the eatery!......as we BOTH know, it would just create a problem for the ratsnake "customers" that eat out back!..LOL!,.......you know!, the general public can't allow EXTREMELY dangerous Gray Ratsnakes, and Diamondbacks, on eating establishment property!..haha!
