Caught Aurora in the act @ 3:30 this morning, she was done by 6 AM. Unfortunately, no matter what the numbers say, these guys needed to cook a bit longer. 2 still premies made this obvious to me. Both had incomplete formation at the tails, and lower jaws.
I also culled 2 with the very same problem, and may cull 2 more depending on how they fair. They have kinks at the vent.
Needless to say, I don't like those numbers much. But the ones that are going, seem to be strong. Numbers go like this. For now anyway. Just a quick count as I tub them.
2 Still premies.
2 culled premies.
5 sweet potatoes (yuk!)
24 live babies. If I cull the two mentioned above, 22 live babies.
Tentative ratios are like so. May change after shed, as I just wasn't inspecting that close. No need to stress them out.
8 Sunglows
5 albinos
5 Salmon
6 Normals
A couple pictures to hold you over till they shed out....

Ricks got him a Sunglow....

Well, I said I wanted to do this to learn more about it. What d'ya think I learned here? I didn't change anything on her settings during mating, gestation, or any of it. Think maybe I should have raised her temps a bit for gestation?
Thanks for looking!
Rick
