My full grown male iguana..

rayvendawn Mar 29, 2008 11:59 PM

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted on here in quite a few years so here is an update on my male iguana Luna. He is 8 years old and has lived with me his whole life, he is very docile and free roams our kitchen and our entire back yard. We have the backyard and our kitchen iguana proofed by the way. He gets to sit out by our palm trees and the pool and sun himself with supervision. I've owned him since he was a hatchling.
He isn't as big as other iguanas his age and he was never bright green as a young iguana, he was always a light brown/green.
Anyway here he is enjoy.
First pic is of Luna and I, he is kinda annoyed that I'm in his bed lol!
Second is when he got out one day and I found him in my bed snoozing away. I let him sleep there the rest of the night btw.

Last is Luna sunning himself by the pool with his toy girlfriend.

He's a handsome guy! Congratulations. He looks very healthy! Does he get wild when he is sunning outside? Your pictures are great! Thanks for sharing.

He does act a little wild when we put him out in the sun, but it's mostly that he's super jumpy and gets really hungry fast.
I try not to feed him right after he's been in the sun or he'll get excited and try licking or nibbling my toes haha.

Oh he sounds like loads of fun!!

All of your pics are great, but I especially love the last one! If you don't mind, I'm going to use it as my desktop wallpaper until the kids change it... LOL!
