I never really had much interest in these animals until I saw a few aberrant specimens. That got me totally hooked.

I have pair of '07's from Don Shores with simi aberrant patterns - here's the male.
Mine are showing pretty good color already.

I'm hoping to get few more pairs this year.

in my uneducated opinion, that looks kind of like a dep jani and dep dep mix. have any pics of adults?

Have no worries, the poster's pair are pure deppei, and I might add, better looking as babies than a lot of babies I have seen, already showing more color than others at that age.

The adults are pure deppeis, as I know the whole story on them, and have seen Shore's deppei while visiting him at his place. One of the parents is het hypo, making this poster's babies poss. het hypos as well.

Yeah, Billy is right on. Shores got them from me and they are in fact Los Mimbres Durango, Mex locality P.d.deppei

Might be the pattern aberancy that threw you off.

Here is the "great uncle" of the snake posted above

i wasn't making an acusation, just an observation. it still amazes me all the different variances there are in the pit world. it's not like i want them all, just a pair of each.
it looks pretty cool, just different. i guess that's why it's called abherent?

The color(the way it moves from one shade to the next) on those snakes is just mind blowing. Stunning snakes.
